
Melt the syrup, butter and sugar in a large saucepan over a low heat. Take off the heat and add the oats and fruit. Press well into a greased tin and cook for 20 minutes at 180 C / Gas Mark 4. When it comes out of the oven press it down again then wait to cool until cutting into squares.
I know these flapjacks contain butter, sugar and syrup, but as they contain oats and fruit they are healthier than most types of chocolate and sweets.
Makes about 12 squares
