
Crush the garlic and mix with the thyme, olive oil and the juice of half the lemon. Put the mixture in a plastic box and soak the tuna steaks for about 15 minutes. Fry the fish, just a few minutes on each side, spooning over any left over marinade. Use the remaining half lemon to cut two slices to decorate the fish. This can be served with a green bean and cashew salad.
Research has found garlic to have antibiotic, antiviral and anti-fungal properties. Garlic is also thought to protect against heart disease as it may reduce blood cholesterol levels and help lower blood pressure.
